Keep Aim on Targets

Today I am happy that I have completed 4000 km in last 2 yrs. This is a big occassion for me. I dedicate this run to my family who supported in making this running as my hobby and always encouraged. Also, the key was 'Aim'. Every time I decided to set a run target and completed. I am very very happy.

Heavy Break fast is key

Runner's diet starts with a good loading of breakfast. Running burns calories and body demands good replenishment to start the day. To maintain the best weight , we should be lean on lunch and dinner should be minimal.

Make Strong Legs

Excercise properly : Stretching is key for the strong legs before and after the run.

Take Intervals: After a good 10 min run relax muscles either by walking or running slow.

Hydrate properly : take water regularly when felt.

Wear Right Clothes : body fitting clothes but yet loose gives strength.

Tighter Hips : Hips muscles are important for a run because they take the maximum pressure. Entire CG is managed at this point. So keeping Hips tight results in strong legs.

We need strong legs to have good stride and at a good frequency. This makes the running pacy.

A speedy response is vital in life. We need to work fast to deliver accurate. Running sharpen this skill to be ahead in life. Running gives immense sense of endurance and great fitness which helps to process the information fast. Despite in most of the tiring situations, we donot feel worked up and take quicker actions.

After Sickness, be Slow

If you have suffered from any illness, be slow in pace and distance build up. This help to progressively build the immune system.

A small portion of excercise is advisable for a great recovery.

Eat Bananas

For a good long run , it is important to have stuff loaded. A good source of carbohydrates is Banana. This makes the entire run free of any cramps due to hunger. It is easy to digest. I had a 16 K run with 2 bananas. I am very happy and fine with it.

Go easy on Pace

We have to really push for the pace. This is a hard job if not planned well. This can be a easy job if done well. To do a planned job we should start easy and gradually fill pace by pumping hard. Needless to say also take intervals to improve VO2 levels in legs.

Take new routes

This is a strategy to bring a change in the running pattern. Change takes time to establish so it help in killing boredom. A route offers different people to see and different picturesque.

This makes the entire run exciting. I had a 16 K run today on a new route and it was very exciting.

Eat lite Run Better

There is a great correlation between eating light and running speed. When we take a light veggie meal , our time improve by a great 15 sec per mile. This is very commendable. So practice light veggie meals.
